S&S Tire & Auto spans two generations of auto repair and service, beginning in 1961. The owner and head mechanic, Nick Schlauch, began working for his dad (Nick Sr.) at age 9, pumping gas and cleaning areas of the shop. He became a full-time certified mechanic at age 18. A love of cars is what sparked the careers of Schlauch men; Nick Sr. put together award-winning show cars, while Nick competed in the world of auto racing, achieving such successes as winning races and championships in dirt track modified racing. Along with servicing the everyday car, the two Nicks together have designed, fabricated, and assembled over 150 race cars in the past 30 years.

S&S is truly a family business. Vicky Schlauch, Nick's wife, does the customer billing, history, all of the mailing, along with Nick's mom, Rose, who answers the phones, makes appointments, and calls you with the information on your vehicle. Young Nick Jr., the third generation of the Nicks, is a full-time mechanic and a former sprint car driver. Nick and Vicky's daughter, Angie, designed and maintains this website.

We also employ certified auto technicians to take care of your vehicle.
